Description:

This section of the Trans Canada Trail is located in the southwest corner of the Municipality of Callander.  The trail winds up and down through terrain that is characteristic of the region’s landscape.  Wildlife is abundant on this remote trail as it passes through numerous habitat types.  At the western reaches, the trail crosses through active farmlands where cattle might be spotted amongst the trees.

Muddy conditions should be expected in the early spring and during episodes of wet weather.  Secondary hiking trails have been developed around the wet areas offering an alternative to wet feet.

Directions:

Pinecreek South entrance: From the HWY 11/17 junction near Seymour Street, take HWY 11 southeast for 14.7 km (9.1 miles).  Take the Lake Nosbonsing/HWY 654 exit.  Turn right at Lake Nosbonsing Road/HWY 654.  Turn left at Pinecreek Road South.
