Discovery Routes Trails Organization introduces the

'Recreational Trails in Ontario's Near North

RESOURCE GUIDE'.

The Resource Guide has been designed as a tool for the hospitality industry to direct visitors to local trails and trail resources.

Background

Feedback from the tourism sector alerted Discovery Routes to the fact that insufficient, and in some cases, non-existent information was available on the area's significant natural resources;  our trails.  The lack of trail information available to the professionals promoting the region and the front line personnel greeting visitors prompted Discovery Routes to embark on a project that would compile existing information into one resource.

Contact information for 75 local clubs and organizations involved in trails is present throughout the guide allowing for the user to seek additional information when required.

Format

The Resource Guide has been designed for easy reproduction.  The information is contained in a binder, divided into sections defined by the type of trail use.  Every page is removable so that they are easy to copy.  Each page is also dated to facilitate easy updates as trails evolve.

A Tracking Form has been included in each guide to allow businesses to track trends in trail use.

Additional Benefits

In addition to the Guide, Discovery Routes will keep businesses updated on the region's seasonal trail events through quarterly notices.  The listings will be in a letter size print-out that is easy to post.    View a sample page here.

While supplies last, Discovery Routes will include 40 copies of the 'Discovery Routes Trails Map 2008/2009'.

Cost

The cost of the Resource Guide is $65.00 (GST included).  Discovery Routes will make every attempt to deliver the Resource Guide.  However, if arrangements cannot be made, an additional $20 will be added for shipping.
