Regional Trail Map
and
"Trail
Guide for Healthy Living"
Discovery Routes Trail Map 2010 / 2011
.............. coming soon!
Discovery
Routes has featured the Near North's recreational trails in an
attractive, comprehensive, and full-colour map distributed in 2008.
We are now in the process of updating and re-printing
our Trail Map, and are expecting to have it available in
early 2010. The new map will include similar
descriptions of the recreational trails in the region as
provided by the previous map, but will also include at
least 4 new trails to the ever growing trail system,
street names on the 'blown up' areas of the map, UTM
coordinates to each trailhead, and more!

Trail Guide to Healthy Living - a
project of the Greater Nipissing Stewardship Council - NOW AVAILABLE!
Discovery Routes and regional trail
partners have assisted the Greater Nipissing Stewardship Council in
the creation of the "Trail Guide for Healthy
Living". The trail guide is a collaborative project between
trail groups, trail owners,
and trail managers to further expand the information available to
local trail enthusiasts. The guide features over 200km of trails
from Mashkinonje Provincial Park at the western arm of
Lake Nipissing to Mattawa in east and Magnetawan in the
south.
The guide
is now available! You can pick one up at the
Tourism Information Centre in North Bay, or at various
local outfitters. Alternatively, you can order them online
through our website.
The cost of the guide is $15.
This project is supported by the
Government of Ontario.
