Safety Considerations:

Description:

With many hardwood trees, this route provides the perfect backdrop of fall colours in September and early October. 

Route:

30 km loop:

Starting at the South River Municipal Office on Marie Street, turn right onto Eagle Lake Road.

Follow Eagle Lake Road and turn right onto Riding Ranch Road.

Turn left onto Scarlett Road as you circle the east portion of Eagle Lake.

Stay to the right on Scarlett Road until you reach Eagle Lake Road. 

Turn right and follow Eagle Lake Road back to South River.

65 km loop:

Starting at the South River Municipal Office on Marie Street, turn right onto Eagle Lake Road.

Follow Eagle Lake Road and turn right onto Riding Ranch Road.

Turn left onto Scarlett Road as you circle the east portion of Eagle Lake.

Stay to the right on Scarlett Road until you reach Eagle Lake Road. 

Turn left onto Eagle Lake Road, and then left onto Park Road.

Follow Park Road, past beautiful Mikisew Provincial Park.

Turn left onto Boundary Road, and continue onto Machar Road.

Turn left onto Old Muskoka Road.  This road is not hard topped.

Turn right onto Eagle Lake Road, and follow it back to South River.
