Ontario Provincial Parks are generally open from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving each year, though these dates may vary depending on the Park.  For exact operating dates, please contact Ontario Parks at 1-888-ONT-PARK, or call the Mikisew Provincial Park directly at (705) 386-7762 (from May to Sept), or at (705) 729-2010 (from Oct to Apr).

Description:

This beautiful and short trail is found on a small piece of land that juts out into Eagle Lake.  This gateway within the park is a perfect place to enjoy a nice picnic, or read a good book by the water. 

Directions: 

From the HWY 11/17 junction near Seymour Street, head southeast on HWY 11 for about 57 km (35.4 miles).  Turn right at Marie Street and right at Eagle Lake Road.  Continue on Eagle Lake Road for 13 km (8.1 miles), and turn left at Park Road South.  Take a left 1.5 km (0.93 miles) later towards the Provincial Park.
