Description:
"One of
Ontario's lost canoe routes", the River Run off an
entry level scenic day paddle. Be prepared in
the summer and fall to walk shallow sections.
The route is navigable from both directions, though
the River flows in a northwesterly direction.
If paddlers are travelling east, they will reach an
access point into Algonquin Provincial Park.
Directions
(to Trout Lake):
From
the HWY 11/17 junction near Seymour Street, head southeast on HWY 11
for about 57 km (35.4 mi). Turn left at Ottawa Street
and right at Dufferin Street. Dufferin will

Tom Thomson Lane and take a slight left at Howard
Street. A canoe access point is located 27 km
